New SLP spoiler

Just installed my SLP spoiler that I picked up a few months back. Had it and my GXP diffuser done in gloss black. Now both my IOM and SBM match. Sorry for the poor pic quality. The weather isn't exactly cooperating right now.

2008 IOM GT: Some go, working on the show.

Sold and will be missed.

, but get the gist of how it looks despite the grainy photograph. Was mounting the SLP spoiler relatively straightforward?

Yeah, the install is very simple. SLP doesn't use any of the plastic clips, just the two side bolts and double faced tape. For the first install, I had the body shop modify the base to accept the 5 plastic clips, so that spoiler is attached using all the factory mounting points. For this one, I only modified the base for the center clip and it is quite secure. Removing the stock spoiler requires some patience but putting it back on is a breeze.

The OEM mounting points are solid and well-designed.

The issues are the plastic welds within the OEM Calais/G8 spoiler that break.

I am unsure if this has been fixed under the same part number or a superseded part number.

Yes they are. I haven't had one break yet, but I've read about too many of them breaking.
