There's a pinout for the stock amp connector in there. It may not really matter, but your amp may be on all the time.

Question on the speaker baffles..should those be the slim mounts (thinking these would fit better) or will regular work ok, too?

By slim do you mean the foam is thin or the basket is shallow ? I used XTC baffles ,cant remember which ones I bought but I know that the foam was a little thick for my taste.

Shallow basket, like this one I think. Haven't seen them yet at the shop I'm going to.

I know I used the shallow baskets on my fronts .Also after a little experimentation i cut the bottom 1/4 out of mine so they could breath a little ,to me it sounded better and still had plenty of protection from water IMO ,your millage my vary.

Thanks, also I just realized on my last post I forgot to post the link to the ones I was looking at lol. Ended up getting a couple shallow XTC's (they only had 2 in stock where I went). May order the others online and try the Boom Mat ones to see both.

I used xtc baffles in a few systems. I have had a pretty crappy experience with them once.
In my 2011 Silverado I used them in my kick panels. Took trimming so you didn't see them
and to make it look like it wasn't done by an inexperienced rookie. Anyway, on decent volume
the baffles were actually slapping the carpet floor below them. I removed one and left the
other, and to be quite honest, it sounded better without it. I removed the other side and the
entire sound changed. I then decided to try the sound change from removing them from the
rear doors...got worse. Not nearly as noticeable as the change up front, but still a noticeable
change. So, I put them back in. Amazing little creatures to use.

The sound of them slapping the carpet sounded like a paper speaker fluttering. Which to my
ears...sounds dreadful, like a blown speaker.

In my G8 I didnt use any, but the change from stock speakers to the JBL GXs....good enough!

Did this go behind radio? I was under the assumption it would Tee into sub amp connector. This is what I got. White connector back there is for the stock sub amp.

Yeah that looks like it goes into the radio harness in the dash.

The link is for a connector that goes between the sub amp and the harness in the truck area.

The harness I have has no capability to connect to sub amp....as the pic shows.

Looks like it goes up front on radio side. Kinda ****ty. Now i need to tap 2 more pairs so i can run 3 sets of RCAs. If i gotta run 1 pair from head unit to trunk...im going full on and running all.

So far, maybe.
Sit in a G8 with GTOs...you'll understand why.

Alpine is not bad at all.
But they arent the best in these cars.
Of course...if your HU is aftermarket...they would sound much better than on stock radio.

I have the alpine spr-60c in the front doors and spr-60 in the rear doors. They are running off of Rockford Fosgate T1000-4ad fed by the after market Kayhan Head unit. And let me tell you, it is loud!

Because these are for my average system. Excessive Amperage 370a/16v 2nd alt with modded stocker 270a/16v.

I dont want to go all out in this car. Im replacing the stock 8s and tossing a pair of 6.5s in the trunk. They are ported on opposide side (side facing down). And they jam nicely. Im using a 4ch and running the 8s as midbass and 6.5s as sub.

Did you see if your amp is always on, or does this adapter harness finagle an actual remote-on?
