  1. Be careful what you wish for...

I have to agree on this. I almost had my arms chopped off because of some Chinese made crap jack pads I used while rotating my tires. Now I got some jack pads that cost 5 times more than the Chinese crap ones. But at least I don't have to worry about losing my arms.

How much are dyno tunes in your area?
  3. Time for Summer Tires

    Wheels / Tires
I think you made a good choice. I've got General GMAX AS-05 on my Camaro and so far they meet my expectations. So I'm pretty sure the RS shouldn't be much different than the AS-05 besides one being a Summer tire and the other being an All Season.

I just read the AC Delco gap is .044.

  6. SENTURY UHP 245 /45 R18 100W XL BSW Tires

    Wheels / Tires
I really like them so far. I make 441 hp and 410 tq on a mustang dyno and I only have 275's. They do well in digs as long as I feather it right.
  7. Buying from Tirerack~

    Wheels / Tires
Michelins are overpriced. I roll with General and Yokahama.
  8. Buying from Tirerack~

Nice! I'm going to estimate, you came out around $200 ahead. I live right by a Tire Rack, but I buy my tires from Discount Tire Direct.

To the OP, I'm not trying to scare you. But, I just read one of the reviews on those tires and the guy said his sidewall blew out in less than 3,000 miles. So for safety measures, I wouldn't go over 55 on those tires if I were you. Tires aren't something to go cheap on. Like they say, you get...
  10. Stage 2, 3 or 4 Cam?

    V8 Engine Tech (L76/LS3)
You don't need an aftermarket converter for a stage 2 cam. I have a BTR stage 2 cam and I go through drive-ins burger joints all the time. I even read some people say they got the stock converter and a stage 3 cam. But I think that's pushing it.
  11. New 392 charger

    Kill Section
That's what I love about GM products. They have a big aftermarket. Dodge? Not much at all. When I had my '12 Charger RT, all I could find was CAI's, exhaust and the rest was cosmetics.
  12. Best cam setup for a daily

    V8 Engine Tech (L76/LS3)
Now that you've mentioned it, I've never seen a stock airbox on a G8 {in person that is}. I had a Vararam on my G8 and you can hear it suck the air. I'm going to get an Air Raid tubing that hooks up to the stock air box for my Camaro. I never knew the 5th. gen. Camaros had such a big stock air box.
  13. Best cam setup for a daily

    V8 Engine Tech (L76/LS3)
I'm cammed and I still have my stock air box. No problems here and I'm running fine. I'll be generous and say I might be missing out on 5 horsepower. IMO, CAI's are mainly just to pretty up your engine bay. Stock air boxes actually are CAI's. It's just that some air boxes are designed better...
  14. Best cam setup for a daily

    V8 Engine Tech (L76/LS3)
Just punch in Brian Tooley Racing and you can look up the specs on each camshaft. I just got lucky, the '14 Camaro SS I just purchased basically came with the setup I was looking for. And that would be a DD cammed car with a stock converter and stock rear gears.
  15. Best cam setup for a daily

    V8 Engine Tech (L76/LS3)
Don't listen to your buddy. A BTR stage 3 will NOT work with a factory converter. You would have to upgrade to a high speed stall converter to work with a BTR stage 3 cam. I have a BTR stage 2 cam and it works pretty good with the stock converter. You can barely feel the surging. But I go...
  16. How wide a rim do I need for 285's?

    Wheels / Tires
Thanks for showing me the Camaro5 forum. I have a 2014 Camaro SS, so it's the perfect forum. I only knew of LS1 Tech and I dislike that forum.
  17. How wide a rim do I need for 285's?

    Wheels / Tires
This tire/rim thing is really frustrating me. I just now saw a Z28 replica square setup that caught my eye. I did the tire conversion thing and it seems like I'll have enough room for a 10 inch up front as long as I get the right size tire. I hope I'm right.
  18. How wide a rim do I need for 285's?

    Wheels / Tires
I'm getting 20 inch rims. But what width do I need for 285 tires? Thanks.
  19. Will they fit?

    Wheels / Tires
The reason why I'm not asking this question on a Camaro forum is because there's nothing but immature idiots over there {a lot of them, not all}. I just purchased a 2014 Camaro SS and I was wondering if the 20X9 front and 20x10 rear Z28 wheels would be a direct fit? Thanks.
