    So, lately I've had the idea to try to take a G8 radio, and mod it with touchscreen/car puter/gps/kitchen sink/etc. If I get a used radio to experiment with off fleabay or a junkyard, will I need a code to unlock it? Or need the dealer to unlock it? Or can I just plug it in my car and go?
