Is the car tuned, and were you running with traction control on or off? When you say "goes on the chip at 6000," what do you mean? If you have a loss of traction at WOT towards the top of 1st and have traction control on, it will feel like it falls on its face for part of a second. However, that shouldn't happen if traction control is off. Also, were you running in normal drive, sport, or manual mode?

Mods / tune? If you are stock, it's likely your TM pulling timing.

Has the trans filter ever been changed?

Lookatthis,

These cars have a really lazy trans tune from the factory so that may be what you were experiencing. 13.5 103 is on the better side of what this these typically run bone stock. Also, it is best to just leave the tranny it Sport mode and let it do the shifting. The only thing that running in manual mode will do is risk hitting the rev limiter.

Aaron,

I think what he means is that it hits the rev limiter at 6000, referencing how you can change out the chips in the MSD boxes to change the rev limiter.
