Here is the update for 12/31/2017

Regal Peacock Manual - 0 Automatic - 0
Orange Blast Manual - 1 Automatic - 1
Silver Ice Manual - 0 Automatic - 1
Red Hot 2 Manual - 0 Automatic - 1
Phantom Black Manual - 0 Automatic - 16
Heron White Manual - 0 Automatic - 1
Slipstream Blue Manual - 0 Automatic - 2
Nightfall Gray Manual - 0 Automatic - 2

That means we are at a total of 25 new 2017 SS's nationwide right now. As for Manual Transmission cars, the Orange Blast car is in Courtesy Transportation Program, and it is all that is left. There are incentives on the 2017 SS still. Until 1/02/2018 everyone qualifies for Employee Pricing on them. They also qualify for Flex Cash of up to $4,000. However, even maxing out Flex Cash on top of Employee Pricing won't get you down to 20% off. If you want 1 of the few remaining new 2017 SS's now, it will cost you a couple thousand dollars more than last month. Since there are so few of these cars left in inventory nationwide, I wouldn't expect incentives on them to get any better moving forward. GM has little incentive to "incentivize" a car that has only a few remaining units.

Of the remaining 25 cars, there is the Orange Blast Manual that is still in Courtesy Transportation Program. There is a Phantom Black Automatic that is listed as a Demo "with adds". Lastly, there is a Heron White Automatic (HL304118) that is listed as stolen off the dealership lot on 11/20/17 (THIEVES SUCK!).

Incentive Updates Good thru 1/31/2018

The GM Employee Pricing for All is gone. The only incentive available on the very few remaining new 2017 SS's is a $2,017 Bonus Cash offer that expires at end of day on 1/15/2018. There is also Flex Cash available on these, but maxed out at $4,000. If you happen to have a GM Credit Card, you may be eligible for Card Bump-Up Points that can be applied this month too. Otherwise, the 2017 SS just got more expensive to purchase AGAIN.

That means we are at a total of 23 new 2017 SS's nationwide right now. As for Manual Transmission cars, the Orange Blast car is in Courtesy Transportation Program, and it is all that is left. There are incentives on the 2017 SS still. GM Employee Pricing for All has ended. They still qualify for Flex Cash of up to $4,000. However, even maxing out Flex Cash on top of Employee Pricing won't get you down to 20% off. There is also $2,017 in Bonus Cash available, however that expires on 1/15/2018. Since there are so few of these cars left in inventory nationwide, I wouldn't expect incentives on them to get any better moving forward. The picture isn't getting any brighter for these cars, and the best incentives are getting small in the rearview mirror.

That means we are at a total of 10 new 2017 SS's nationwide right now. GM decided to offer $2,017 off all new 2017 cars for the first week and a half of the month, so take advantage of it while you can. Things are much more complicated this month & have more to do with what else do you own. The "Select Non Domestic Nameplate Conquest" is the best at $2,500. To get it, you must currently own a 1999 or newer Daewoo, Daihatsu, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Scion, Subaru, Suzuki, or Toyota. You will be required to provide a current registration or other documentation to confirm ownership prior to March 1, 2018. Next Best is the "Other Non-GM/Discontinued Nameplates" bonus for $2,000. To get it, you must currently own a 1999 or newer Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, Fiat, Fisker, Ford, Hummer, Jaguar, Jeep, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren, Mercury, Mini, Oldsmobile, Panoz, Plymouth, Pontiac, Porsche, Ram, Saab, Saturn, Smart, Tesla, Volkswagen, or Volvo. Once again, current registration or other proof required. Next is "Chevrolet Loyalty" for $1,000. This requires ownership of a 1999 or newer Chevrolet LD vehicle. NONE OF THE ABOVE INCENTIVES CAN BE USED TOGETHER. There is also $1,500 GMF Down Payment Assistance that can stack with the above, only if you finance with GM Financial. Much more complicated than in the past.

And then there were only 2. That is all the brand new 2017 Chevrolet SS's left in the nation for sale. HOWEVER, neither of these cars may be available for actual sale.

Phantom Black Auto with Sunroof & Spare at Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, MD (this car is listed as DEMO NOT AVAILABLE)
Orange Blast Manual with Sunroof & Spare at Partyka Chevrolet in Hamden, CT (this car is said to still be a Courtesy Transportation Vehicle)

What this essentially means is that the Phantom Black Auto 2017 SS in Puerto Rico was the last available new 2017 SS in the country. Now used will be your only option.

That is all folks!

joe, imagine trying to keep track of all the SSs! mike in ocala
That is quite the job, and my hat is off to Mike in Ocala! However, it is made a little easier since Chevrolet Customer Care bothered to keep track of how many were made in each configuration, and has published the info. Still quite a monumental task.
