But also the 6L90 didn't really offer anything greater than what a built 6L80 does, so what's the point of the 90? The 8L90 is faster shifting, stronger, lighter, more gears for potentially better 1/4 mile times and maybe even better MPG. These are the reasons why we are excited about the new transmission.
I think I’m going to try it guys im going to do more research I heard my lifters ticking and took my whole motor apart so now debating on stock or full blown build with the stock motor I want to keep my trans but 3 slips sometimes so a 8 speedwith this motor would be the first and crazy or just build my 6l80e. Oh found out I have number 511 but I want to know how many gts rolled off production line??Oh for a second I thought we were talking about 6l90. Yea, 6th gen stuff wont work w/out so much work to the electrics, that you might as well gut everything and make it a race car.
