My alternator light came on and now I need to replace it, my question is that it ok to use one that puts out only 120 amp for the replacement?

That statement kinda scares me a bit. It sounds like you might be asking if a V6 version would work in a GT. AC Delco versions (for the V6 an V8 are different). 120 Amps is somewhat lower than the GT version. But If the case is the same (as in, shape, size, electrical hookup, voltage output function, etc) an your positive *it* will output the correct voltage, it sounds like you would be OK. But the Alternator will most likely be outputting voltage at its peak Amp range for much longer periods, to satisfy the cars demand. If were talking about an aftermarket brand of Alternator, you most likely will have a unit that does not seem to respond to the ECM's charging/voltage demands.

Can only recommend the GT factory replacement which is 92191127. Good luck
