I will be driving my GXP all the way down to Bowling Green, KY from Madison, WI along with a buddy of mine in his 2006 GTO. Last year I attended the convention in Charleston, WV, and was only one of 3 G8s there (the other two were GTs). I hope to see more G8s there this year, especially other GXPs. So who will be joining me?

I know there are alot of G8 owners in the area within a couple hours from Bowling Green, KY. Is nobody else down there planning to attend this great event?

Well, I guess that just means little competition in the G8 Class for the car show. I need any help I can get because I am trying to do the race and show at the same time! Still hope to see other board members there! I leave tomorrow morning for the nearly 600 mile drive each way.

Damn, I guess I missed you! The Plaza Hotel was booked, so I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites. I heard about a LR GXP around, but never saw you. I parked next to Brian and his SRM M6 GXP in the show though. There were also 2 MGM GTs, a LR Base, and 2 sisters in an IOM GT came to the races on Friday. Amber ran really well for her first time at the track in awful air (nearly 3000' DA). My GXP was parked at the Plaza Hotel a number of times while I was there for events. Sorry that we missed each other. Why weren't you at the show or race?

Joe, had to work with my team, but we saw your G car at the plaza and I left my card in your drivers side window. No wonder the plaza had no listing for you. You met my wife on her tour to the Museum Thursday. I am sorry we couldn't hook up. I could have given you the .50 cent tour including the plant. Anyhow, maybe I'll get to meet you in Iowa if I can make it.

I remember talking to your wife as we got on the bus. My girlfriend really laughed when your wife asked "Are you THE Joe Morgan?" I responded that depended on which Joe Morgan she was referring to, and she said the "G8 GXP one" (I am not usually mistaken for the baseball player, LOL). I really hope you can make it to the G8 Meet. I'd love to have double the GXP count we had last year (13 of them in 2010). Last year we had every GXP color represented, except Panther Black Metallic.

I wondered if there were any posts on this.

Capt Joe - I considered pulling up next to you (I think it was) that Thursday night of the convention as we were heading back to the Hampton, but the number of police in Bowling Green is higher than just about anywhere I've ever been...and I would have likely lost and gotten chewed out too. I really expected to see your car Saturday. It was a nice event and a perfect location (except for the street light timing).

Joe - congrats on the win at the track!

Brian
