I have a g8 that I bought new. It has 63000 miles and I would like to boost the performance a bit. Am thinking of a cai(which is best?), Tune(where do I get?) And catback exhaust( which is best?).
I am in Chicago burbs if there is a good shop anyone knows of.
Any input is appreciated!

You can’t go wrong with Rotofab for a cai or Solo for a catback.
Sound/noise level are subjective in choosing an exhaust system, so I’d suggest calling Steve at Solo.
Their customer service is great.
Rotofab offers good performance and install is easy.

A little bit of research would go a long way to help you answer these questions.

My vote goes to VCM for the CAI and Solo for the exhaust.

Check locally for a reputable street tuner.

Not sure how you want the sound but the exhaust set up I have is an x pipe with solo axlebacks. It sounds great and you can probably find used solos and the x pipe plus install for me was about $70. If you really need the power you could put some headers on too. I wouldn't say the solo system is budget though, but it is nice.
