Finally able to get my car to hook in 1st gear, but now I have a squeal noise around the radio/dash area at wot. Guessing torque converter? Performance seems fine the squeal starts around 4500-5000 rpm & continues until redline. Stock converter with 62,000 miles. Anyone had this before? Started when I put on 275 rear tires & the temp got up to the 70's.

thats what mine sounded like. sounds like a vaccumn type squeel? mine did it between shifts and took a long time to shift. as you can see in my sig. im putting another trans in. mine just got too hot. had a pcm forlesss cooler (junk). hope thats not your case, but exactly same noise. check the trans fluid color and hope you dont find any materials in there. in my case everything was burnt up. fluid was pitch black. it was the pump making the sound in mine. there was a lot of trash it was trying to pump
