Hi all

Working on installing a dash cam in my G8.
So far running the power cable for the mirror/front camera was very straight forward.

Now the task of the rear camera. I figure the easiest would be to run the wire tucked under the headliner but I'm not sure I want to risk messing with the headliner.
Worst case the wire is more than long enough to run under the carpet.

Has anyone else done a dashcam and have any tips?

I ran my reverse camera wire to my rear-view mirror from the trunk, up the c-pillar, along the passenger side of the headliner, front of the headliner, to the mirror. You should be able to slightly drop the front of the headliner by removing your dome light/sunroof control and sun visors so you can tuck the wire in there, or along the A-pillar by pulling the trim off

Thanks this helps alot.
Now i'm thinking remove the rear dome light to help pull wire through the headliner.
