Anyone know if it's possible to drop the tank a few inches without having to remove exhaust, driveshaft, etc.? I'm going to buy a new nylon fuel line that goes from the pump to the metal line on the passenger side. I need a little more space to get the line around the tank and up to the pump.
I undid the rear exhaust hangers, the electrical connection at the front right corner of the subframe, left all else attached I think, and dropped the subframe.
Does anyone know the part number for the nylon line from the pump to the metal line under the car? I thought I had found the correct one, but it came in today and it's not it (92203244). If not I guess I'll have to make my own.
I bought a used one from eBay, but the part number doesn't come up anywhere. They had it listed as "GM213M Type H Fuel Line Pontiac G8" with MPN: P1071
I installed the new (used) line today and it wasn't too bad. Worst part was having to switch the batteries on my impact gun constantly to break the subframe bolts. I used some PB blaster and that was good enough, no heat needed. Thanks for your help @J Wikoff
