Has anyone found a decent G8 diecast car? I wouldn't even be opposed to a crappy one to take apart and build my own. Just need a base model type car.

I found a Ute by Hot Wheels still looking for a G8 model
There isn't anything as of yet. Many have hoped.
Talked to several 1:18 scale manufacturers a couple years back, the short answer was no.
One said that since the 1:1 manufacturer was out of business, that there wasn't enough support, but they still make GTOs & Firebirds.

Matchbox sells the UTE in 1:64. Red, Blue, Purple, Green.

I did buy a few V8 Supercar Holdens to try to convert, started on one. Also bought an extra Coupe 60 as the dash is almost perfect and the engine compartment is dang near identical to ours.
I'll post pictures when I find them.
Far as I know, this is the closest we can get (attached). Can find it on Riverina Model Cars Plus.

That is very expensive. However, on another note, does anyone know what type of spoiler is on that car?
The Coupe 60 is very cool. A car that should've been produced. AFAIK the Coupe 60 is the only street car Holden "VE" produced in 1:18 and is...well, a coupe. lol

Our best chance may be if the SS/VF Commodore is made in street form. Not quite the same but it's something to work with I guess.

Have never seen that one.

Check out the 1:18 Coupe 60's engine bay.

And of course, the 1:18 Racing Commodore.

Hate to revive an old thread but that engine bay is spot on. Amazing!

Except the ventilation is on the wrong side for the people that drive on the right side of the road.
Brake reservoir is on wrong side for us. And paint scheme on engine cover is a little off. The blue and yellow caps are a very nice touch, though.

I know this is nearly a 10 year old thread. But what is the name of this car pictured here?
