Hey guys the new headers will be going on in a couple weeks and I want to cam at the same time. I will probably go with the Lingenfelter GT11 cam.

I dont want to replace engine components just to replace them but if anyone could give me a list of the supporting mods I need to ensure no problems with the engine. I do hit the track occasionally and do not want to damage the engine. Please list the parts that I:
- "Must replace"
- "Should replace"
- "Could replace or Would help but not necessary"

Thanks Guys

I have the parts but have not started the cam swap on my GT....

Must replace: valve springs, pushrods (from what I understand higher lift is accomplished by reducing the base circle of the cam. As the LS motors have a fixed valvetrain, longer pushrods should be used). Should get hardened pushrods anyway. Harmonic balancer bolt

Should replace - single bolt cam gear with 3 bolt. This might be necessary for the cam anyway.

Could replace - timing chain depending on mileage/comfort level. My car has 25K on it so I'm reusing my stock chain.
