Does anyone know if a company makes aftermarket hoods for the G8?
I feel like a G8 version of a 02' Trans Am Ram Air hood might look great on this car....

You think so?....IDK. The T/A looks amazing with that package. Hmm...would like to do some photo editing/chopping to get an idea of what it would look like. I might have to play around on Adope Photo this weekend. I'll post a pic if I do.

Walkinshaw performance makes a set of scoops that go on the stock hood that make the scoops look more like the T/A's hood. However they want a kidney for them.

Looks like cheap stick on scoops the sell at AutoZone to me...I wouldn't do it.

LMAO! At over $500 they're anything but cheap! They're either fiberglass or carbonfiber (over $700!) and they bolt to the hood using the factory scoop bolt holes.

It looks like the Walkinshaw scoops extend up into a positive pressure zone, scooping up the flow over the hood. IMO those look pretty decent.

Definitely not for $500. They don't look bad, but I doubt they help much, and they're surely not worth that much money.

At most $200-300. I wonder if there are any other add one like that though.

There are no other options other than custom. Personally skeptical if these actually get in the pressure zone.

Planning to put a real drag scoop on mine.

Maybe they are so much money because its not just the plastic on the hood. Maybe its the cold air plumbing under the hood too. But this is just speculation.
