I have heard that the truck engines are more durable and can handle more power than the LS1 or LS2, since people have done swaps on those and do turbo or s/c kits on the truck engine. Isn't the 6.0 in the GT basically a truck engine if I understand correctly? So my question is which will be a better route or all out performance in the long run? Turbo the 6.0 or the LS3?

The weak link in all of these motors is the pistons and then the rods.

Other than that the iron blocks are stronger than the aluminum blocks.

Unless your planning on building something from the ground up your over all limit on hp is going to be relatively the same.

Thanks
