Currently have an LSA setup with Kooks mid length header and cats. Have LS9 cam installed and am running 11.3s with E85. Looking to run in the 10s. And a bigger cam and a smaller pulley is the obvious route to get there. But am I losing out on a significant amount of power by not having long tubes? Realistically would be be happy with 10.999 1/4 mile. Just looking to drop that 0.4 sec

I don't know what your HP rating is but I'm at 560 at the wheels with the exact same setup but I have a custom grind stage 1 cam (between an LS9 and standard stage 1) and I'm quite happy with it. That is on 93 octane too, not E85. You might see another 10-15hp I'm guessing if you switch to LT's?

I remember Pat G did a comparison, it was less than 10hp not sure of the build though, have you looked into Torque Convertors yet ? lots of gains in the e.ts there

Post a timeslip. Need to see your 60' and splits. Also, who tuned it? Trunk tank? Meth?
I do have a little converter, just the stock ZL1.

Here's my time slip
60' 1.677
330 4.841
1/8 7.390
1/8 mph 95.34
1000 9.547
1/4 11.370
mph 122.24

Its been consistent 11.37- 11.39
Running gto 17s with nitto NT555r with that 60'.

Have a set of ET streets at the ready, just havent mounted them
Others mods that matter are lsa with 2.85, Stock ctsv lower, kooks mids, LS9 cam, e85, zl1 lid, zl1 converter
Thinking BTR PDS 3 torque cam and 2.5 or 2.4 upper will get me the 10.xx. Just want to make sure im not missing out on anything significant with headers

A custom grind cam should get you much closer over the LS-9 cam. as that 122.5 degree separation is killing your midrange +

I would suggest a Camaro 3.27 rear diff. Get you off the line better to lower your 60’. Make daily driving more fun too

I think it was in the 10psi range last I remember. I also do have a camaro 3.27 diff, forgot to mention
You need more pulley ratio. A lower and a smaller upper. I don't have all the combinations memorized, but that info is out there. Consult your tuner for their recommendation. Make sure your fuel system is robust enough for the added boost. There are plenty of V2's in the 9's on a LS9 cam. If it were my personal car, I'd stick with it.
