Ok, This maybe the wrong area and if so I'm sorry up front. My 2009.1 G8 GT is less than 1,000 miles from dropping out of CPO bumper to bumper warranty. I've been steadily though still very infrequently hearing a metallic popping sound that's either in the steering or suspension. I've read plenty of possibilities on this forum and that's not really the help part.

The major help part is I'm looking for a dealer in LA esp in The Valley that I can actually feel safe bringing my G8 in to. I took it to Community in Burbank for its last oil change (changes are free under my CPO plan) and to fix that last airbag recall. They didn't fully botch the oil change, but if I hadn't inspected their work I would have been in trouble down the road. Obviously not my first choice to return back to, but all the other dealers in the area on Yelp seem much worse. Anyone have any good luck, anyone here work in the service dept at a GM dealer who actually cares, etc?

All else fails I'm stuck back at Community hoping they do their job right, but if I don't even feel safe about an oil change, do I even want them messing around with my front end?

Any advice or suggestions would be very grateful, thanks.

I dont know if you are still searching, but I have taken my g8 to keyes chevy in van nuys. The guy that is very helpful is Jerry Roxas. He knows about my mods and still honors the warranty. If you are still searching, you should check him out.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I went back to Burbank for my most recent oil change, made them very aware of my experience last time and that helped though they couldn't find the noise issue, but luckily my bumper to bumper is actually good until 48k so I've got some time. Great info ESP since I want to possibily start some mods and don't want grief from the dealer then for warranty repairs.
