Good Morning,

I have a few questions in terms of being able to swap the steering wheel airbag. I have one lined up for purchase but the seller has asked me what connector I need for the backing plate. I would obviously go and check but because I live north of the border, the car is being stored at the moment. Is there anyway to tell/check which connector is needed?

Also, if I am able to go or have someone go pull the airbag currently on the vehicle, is it necessary to follow the power down procedure? Am I running any certain risk by leaving the battery and fuse connected while pulling the airbag?

Thanks for weighing in.

That's a strange question that he is asking....

Anyway, you MUST disconnect the battery before disconnecting the airbag or you risk it going off when you unplug it. (With potentially life threatening consequences).
