I'm installing an aftermarket oil pressure gauge in my 2008 V6. I'm assuming the sending unit on the oil filter housing is the oil pressure sending unit but it appears to have 3 wires on the one plug.

Does anyone know which wire to use?

Here is your info on the pressure sensor, but it will not likely drive an aftermarket gauge correctly.

Pin - Wire Color - Function
1 - 0.5 BN/WH - Oil Pressure Sensor Signal
2 - 0.5 GY - 5-Volt Reference (LY7)
3 - 0.5 0.5 BN/RD - Low Reference (LY7)

You need a Male-Female extension piece with a side outlet to screw into your oil filter housing on a V6. The original GM O.P. sender goes into the M14 female end and an aftermarket 1/8NPT sender to suit the aftermarket gauge screws into the side of the new piece.

Perfect!!! this is exactly what I need because I want the factory oil pressure gauge to continue to work but I also want to use a tradition needle gauge as well.
