Late to the party but I noticed this rarely gets mentioned in these conversations:

http://www.dummies.com/home-garden/car-repair/keeping-your-mods-warranty-intact/

"Further, under the act, aftermarket equipment that improves performance does not automatically void a vehicle manufacturer?s original warranty, unless the warranty clearly states the addition of aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle?s warranty, or if it can be proven that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure."

Keeping Your Mod's Warranty Intact - dummies

I would like to see someone get warranty after headers, cam, tune, supercharge etc.

Well, I would argue the example that say you had the warranty, then did all the work you described, then the stock water pump goes out.

Yeah sure you did all these other mods but a water pump is a water pump; they'd need to warranty it or PROVE that somehow all that other stuff didn't cause it...

I mean it's one thing to put a blower on it then try and warranty a rear diff or some internal engine part.
