Tracked down one of my noises. Cable end sits loose on adjuster (#1 in drawing).

Anybody know how to fix this? I don't think adjusting the pads will do it.

Those *aft* cables (one to each side parking brake) are equal length cable runs that meet up at a equalizing link (where the short forward cable section ) is attached to. You would think that *both* aft cable runs, would have the same amount of slack if out of adjustment. So with parking brake released (handle retracted), if there is any cable sloppiness, you could remove same by adjusting the provided cable tension-er adjuster bolt under the small trim piece on the console, just *aft of the 2 cup holder, to attain a proper handle action (to hold the car) in the 4 to 6 click range.
