Hey guys I got a good deal on a LS3 long block out of a 2011 Camaro ss (6 speed car). It looked worn out and I didn't know the history, so I did a full rebuild. This was my 3rd LS build so I am not new to it. Everything was balanced, plasti gauged and checked thoroughly. I finished the build and had the car street tuned and drove it for a couple months and all has been well and car runs/drives great! Finally had time to go back for some dyno pulls and im pretty bummed about the numbers. Car only put down 415 to the wheels. I feel like these numbers are really low. I thought I would be more in the 450-480 range. My tuner is very reputable so I don't think its his fault. He said the car just wont take anymore timing. Can someone please give me some advice on what might be the problem? or is this normal?

ls3 block- bored .020 over, stock polished crank, stock rods, flat top pistons w/valve reliefs, mahle plasma-moly rings, Arp cam, rod, and head bolts, ls7 lifters, billet timing set, king bearings, tsp stage 3 cam 231/246 .640/.615 111lsa, tsp springs, tsp 7.4 push rods, melling high vol oil pump.

heads- ls3 0821 fully ported by wilkes performance, shaved just a little?,5 angle valve job, fast 65#injectors,stock ported intake and throttle body, msd wires, ngk iridum plugs, kooks 1-7/8 long tubes with custom x pipe with zL1 mufflers, trunnion upgraded rockers, ls9 head gaskets.

transmission- stock 6l80 with circle d 3200-3400 stall and Camaro trans pan upgrade, B&M tru cool trans cooler.

Probably more stuff done this is just all I can think of off the top my head.

Numbers are numbers, just that. More about how the car drives and feels. Obviously you weren’t able to get a baseline number which would have let you measure gain. Don’t know what the “average” M6 2011 SS put down....
Bottom line is if you’re happy with it

My compression is at 10.5:1.
Yeh it started to cause knock when he tried to go up on the timing, and it lost a little power.
The weather was brutal not going to lie. Probably at least upper 90's outside.
tuner was Nick. The owner of boosted innovations in slidell, LA. You can look him up. he is very well known in our area and tunes tons of high powered LS cars. He has the drivability spot on.
The convertor was locked only on the final pass that put down the 415. All other passes was unlocked and it only put down upper 390's.

Im just upset that I have done so much work and spent so much money, and I probably could have just dod deleted and cammed my old l76 6.0 and made more power. Ive seen them put down in the 450 area all day. Just really frustrated. I know the car has way more potential.
