Hello Everyone, I believe I posted in here before about moving to Utah. Well it is finally happening. I make the trek in Feb of 2017. I will be living north of Provo around the American Fork area, lots of questions about the area. Well here on the east coast I run 93 octane and am FBO G8 debating on cam but not sure what to do. Cam specs and performance differ? Also I'm looking at boosting the car, I've visited before and I've seen 85 out there, is that the same as E85 which is huge on the east coast people love it for boosted cars. Any insight would help Thanks

High altitude/western states use gas a couple octane points lower, haven't really looked into why. Our 85 octane isn't the same as the E85 ethanol blend. I'd recommend holding off on a cam until you see how the altitude kills power on an NA motor, it's pretty harsh especially once you get up into the mountains at 7,000+ ft above sea level. I don't know much about the AF area since I've always been in SLC or Park City, but I'm sure you can still expect way more Subarus than RWD V8 sedans no matter where you are in Utah.
