I recently swapped out my alternator and battery , and now my vehicle won’t crank or start . It had an anti theft light and engine immobilized. Terminals were then seated properly and went away . Now it won’t click , crank or start , I measured battery voltage at 12.5 when off

Why were the battery and alternator initially replaced? Terminals were then seated as in the battery terminals?

measure batt voltage at alternator output stud, if no voltage you popped the 175 amp inline fuse to alt. which also feeds u/h fuse box sections
