If the vehicle supported streaming bluetooth audio, yes, the phone would stay in my pocket. That's how it is in my truck and on my bike, and it's very convenient. You're missing the cleanliness of a lack of wiring and "clutter", as you put it, and the convenience of being able to use the steering wheel controls to control music/telephone, rather than having to reach other places.I don't get the obsession w/ aftermarket (or stock) bluetooth when you can set it up like this. I've had cars w/ bluetooth before...and, well, w/ this setup correct me if I'm wrong but what am I missing?
Why can't you just plug the phone into the front aux input??
I have my phone on a cig lighter mount placed just to the right of the center stack ahead of the shifter. I used a 6" aux cord, wrap it once around the mount and plug it into the phone.

If its in a cradle mount it may as well have an aux cord you already have some "clutter" there to begin w/ - plus many mounts can also charge the phone.

I have every convenience of bluetooth capability, plus this is a hard-line connection, crystal clear, never any static, and tons of volume.
For a $5 cord and whatever mount you should probably already buy to begin w/
