Let me start this review by acknowledging that this is my first set of summer tires. Also, previous tires were Goodyear RSA's on stock 19" sport wheels.

I got the tires put on three weeks ago, you can see my original post here for some pictures of the tires from a few angles. The sidewalls are pretty square which looks good, and they're pretty stiff at 95 for the front and 97 for the rear if my memory serves me.

They were purchased through Tires By Web which is a Michigan based company. Group A Wheels had a slightly better price, but TBW matched it. I ordered them April 1st and Pat (Sales guy) said they'd have 'em to me by the end of the week. True to his word they arrived at my office on Friday.

Overall feeling: There is almost no play in the steering, especially at highway speeds. I'm able to change lanes in 1/2 second or less at 80mph and feel completely comfortable. Wet traction is equally good, even with all the rain we had in Michigan the last week or so. I toned my sporty driving down a little bit, but never once did worry about traction. She feels totally glued to the road on the highway (her natural habitat).

Cornering: Why buy tires like this unless you're going to have fun right? I wasn't really able to push it to the max because I know my brakes aren't all that great right now (upgrading soon) but I was able to try them out. There's not many easy ways to try out grip without looking like a nut doing circles in a parking lot. So I downloaded a demo version of Dashboss to my Android phone, set it to skidpad and took to some highway on/off ramps. The result? As fast as I felt comfortable going, I was able to get .89G on the app. Granted I know my phone isn't a precision device but it's all I have at the moment. I didn't want to try to hard because 1) it's only low 60's out and 2) I imagine there was dust/debris on the ramps which could have affected my high speed turns. Oh, I also have BMR sway bars, which may have helped.

Summary: Awesome tires. One of the tires it was compared to many times in my research was the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, which would have been several hundred dollars more. I have confidence that on a warm summer day I'll chicken out before the tires lose grip.

Great review and thanks...

I was looking at these tires today, since I will be in the need for a new set soon. Nothing but great online reviews and great pricing as well.

A couple of Jag an Porsche forums feel the same about these tires. I wonder if they will be sold at Discount Tires soon.

Does anyone else here on the forum have these tires?

There's been some reviews in Europe, they rate fairly good. Lots of user reviews on tyre reviews in the UK (it's a Brit thing I guess, the spelling).
