I've had this issue ever since I did my timing chains, at idle there will be a very strong raw fuel smell in the car but once moving its fine, cats plugged? Exhaust leak? evap issue maybe, There isn't a fuel leak in the engine bay. So not sure what the issue is but it can be bad some times. Could just be running rich even i guess? I did replace 02 sensors but that didn't fix my 02 sensor code its a harness issue idk what do you guys think or has any one experienced strong fuel smell at idle.

Out on a limb and not a mechanic, I'm voting evap issue.
Rotten line at the sending unit or a blockage in the return line or charcoal cannister is shot.
Good luck.

My charcoal canister was bad as well purge valve replaced both. As well as my rusty fuel line. I replaced my exhaust as well to the gt mach shorty cat back and now it smells from that. I'd get the exhaust checked as well. Any exhaust shop should be able to look at it for you for free or maybe small fee. If you have check engine light could be part of your evap system.
