those who have installed a one piece drive shaft -

I'll be moving to a one piece drive shaft in the next few days. Looking for heads up on what to anticipate for the install. This is a DSS aluminum unit. I read conflicting on exhaust shield and parking cable interference. I do have a 3" exhaust and offset diff bushing if that add complications.

Thank you in advance

How long did it take to get the shaft to you? Last year, both DSS and GForce had no ETA on them. My shop had to have one custom built.
Shaft has been in mod pile for two years+. I recently made time to step back from 3.45 to 3.27 and add a true trac. Next thing ya know, the cradle is out, new LCA, adjustable toe links, solid upper arm bushings, DSS axles, viking shocks and solid cradle bushings are happening. Might as well do the driveshaft now- Finally the mod pile is depleted.

Just had the DSS aluminum driveshaft installed. Heat shield couldn't go back in and had to figure out special way to keep ebrake cable out of the way
So you didn't have any exhaust clearance issues; correct?

Good info. The DSS instructions state the shield has to go. Having the offset diff bushings makes it worse. I installed the assembled cradle using the original drive shaft. I did this the ensure the new differential is working correctly, having one less variable to deal with. All good so far, the DSS will go in the next couple weeks..
No issue with impacting exhaust
