I bought my g8 from some guy how do i know/find out if my g8 is under warranty?

Call a dealership up and give them your VIN and ask if you have either warranties left. You mind still have the 5 year warranty still but the bumper to bumper will not be active anymore unless a extended warranty was purchased by the other guy.

is the powertrain warranty 100000 miles or is it 100000 kilometers?

@alsgr8g8, if you’re located in the United States the Powertrain warranty mileage is 100,000 miles; in Canada, I believe it is 120,000 kilometers. If you would like to provide me with the VIN of your vehicle, I be happy to look into this for you.

100,000 miles is 160,934 kilometres according to google hehehe. does this sound right?

If you have OnStar just sign in the website and it will tell you.

Jeepers...Canada powertrain warranty is 5yr or 160,000 km from in service date & km. Whichever comes first.
