Shopping for a G8 GT. I'm in Los Angeles. Preferably white, no black. Post what you've got or if you know someone looking to sell.

Thanks

I've seen all the cars listed on cars.com, CarGurus.com, autotrader.com, Craigslist... I'm posting here to see if there are members who have something which isn't listed. I can go as high as 20k for a mint stock example.

I already went to look at the car from the first link. Front seats were trashed, especially the driver seat. The front fascia was also badly scraped, along with the driver sideskirt. Guy wouldn't go below $21k, too much for the condition the car was in.

Second link is delusional. Way above kbb value.

Third car.. I have a pre-approval from my credit union, but they won't finance a car with more than 100k miles.

Good Luck, Will keep my ears open.

I had good luck in the oregon area for my nieces car. No salt on the roads up there and the people seem to keep thier cars nice. May want to expand your search. If anything will be a nice first drive home.

Thanks!

My Craigslist search encompasses the whole west coast up to Texas and the website searches are up to 500 miles.

I looked at Auto Trader for fun, an they show 5 or 6 prospective GT's in the general area . Wouldn't hurt to look at them to see if any are to your liking. Especially a white one that might be right down your alley.

Have to love when it says for the picky buyer and its expensive and trashed...

I saw that car when I was looking for my White 09. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of inventory. Quite a few of the Grey cars local (santa ana) but the dealers wouldn't budge on price and I got the impression in talking to them that they weren't all that clean or special.

Keep looking...I found my 09 White with Sport package/premium for $18,700 with 58,500 miles from a private party on car gurus about a month back.

Thanks for the motivation. I'm running out of patience with these dealers. I'm definitely going to try and hold out for a private sale, but the longer I wait.. The more I gravitate towards the cheaper to obtain E55 platform.

What keeps me interested in the G8 is the cheap maintenance and mods compared to the E55.

Decisions, decisions.

Expand your search and have the financing or cash ready to jump.

Consider flying out of state for a clean car as there much cheaper just make sure they have stock manifolds and cats.

I was considering a little of everything but I wanted an easy to work on and maintain vehicle so I just couldn't pull the trigger on a used German....Too scary

I think the G8 Gt's are going to hold there value pretty good going forward if nice and clean. I think the GTP's will still fall a bit but it was more than I wanted to spend on a 7 year old car.
