Still haven't received my car, but heard there is a skip shift feature. Is there a way to disable this? Thanks!

All you have to do is give it more pedal and it unlocks. To answer your question, yes you can disable it by a tune or buying an eliminator from a vendor like maryland speed.

You get used to the skip shift after awhile actually. At first, I was like this blows and I'm totally getting the skip shift eliminator. By the time I stored her, I didn't mind it so much. I may have a different attitude when I take her back out again by food for thought.

for those non gxp owners, could someone explain this skip feature?

Damn V8s and it's gas guzzling ability. I have this thing on my Z, and I HATE IT!! Easy fix is to just shift higher in the rpms.

Actually one of my first mods but i'd forgot all about it (70k invested
here with me doing most of the work, I'm an idiot). Eliminater or tune will take care of the issue! Have fun with your 4 door vette!!!

I hated that skip shift 'feature'. One of my first mods was the skip shift eliminator. It was inexpensive, fast and easy to install. Don't need it now with the tune but I just left it there anyway, doesn't hurt anything.

I dont mind the feature. Once I got used to it - I actually started shifting 1st to 4th without the lock out.

Sure I go through the gears when I "give her"...

But for daily driving - the only time I dont go 1st to 4th is when i'm heading up a hill from a stand still.
