There was a gap in GXP production that your car fits into. The last GXP before yours was L300939, and the next one after yours was L301479. Hope that info is useful for you in some way.

Bracketracer, have you found the tag numbers are sequential ?

HSV build nos are not sequential. For instance there's 50 of mine, they were all built in I think the Sep to Dec 2008 period in Adelaide, then they get trucked to HSV in Melbourne where they are finished off and the HSV build no applied, but not in sequential order.

No, GXP build numbers are not completely sequential at all. There are large blocks of GXPs that were all in sequence, but then there are gaps throughout production. We also found that VIN and production date don't necessarily sync up. There are a number of cases when a specific car in the build order has a later build date that other cars 1 digit before or after it.

I will have to confirm the numbers from home, but I think I have the location states now for about 1/3 of all the GXPs built, and I have the owners deocumented for about 1/4 of all the GXPs built. There are still a bunch of board members that have not contacted me back when I have pm'ed them for their vehicle info. A few have refused to provide the specifics.

liquid red gxp m6 onyx/red roof 302530 milford, oh 53k funny how it all worked out, I had a car crush on these for awhile, then about 2 months ago a black a6 onyx w/ roof came into my dealer for service, I replaced the balancer, pistons, rings, and rod bearing under warranty, and fell in love on the test drive, fast forward to march 10th, someone traded in an m6 on a new zl1 hardtop, I purchased it on march 13, ran a vehicle inquiry to see when the powertrain was up, march 13 of 2014, meaning it was first purchased march 13, 2009, meant to be I guess. only mod as of now is cold air intake, haven't decided if its getting built, or staying close to stock, but I love this car like no other!!
