ALL NEW 13” Competition Vertical Interchiller Kit for G8 SS Sedan. This one is direct fit Maggie with H/E bypass. This is a very EZ kit to install, nothing cut and does not interfere with washer tank or H/E. Only 2.2' AC hose bolts direct to frame rail.

One of our new Installing Dealers doing his first V2 Active Interchiller. After fitting one of our competitors very expensive V2 kits and not getting IATs below 60-70deg and seeing all the hoses, splices and connections under the hood he switched to the original Interchiller with nothing visible under hood. Says his G8 is next!

Thought I should get some G8 pictures posted. Active Interchiller is very popular with the LSA conversion. We support H/E with our Advanced Bypass but many G8 customers go no H/E and skip that expense. No H/E is much easier installation and you get better performance as well as getting into big pumps. No reservoir or a front mount 1-3gal reservoir is best, we don’t support trunk mount.

Our test car a 14 SS Sedan with complete LSA drop in with cam and pulley no reservoir just cut LSA hoses and no H/E 650 HP staged 54deg IAT never went above 115 at the ÂĽ and back to 54deg before it even got off the track. We did this over and over hot lapping. This was with 4.5 gal pump and under hood intake.

SS no H/E Competition 19” Xtreme Chiller completed, so simple even a …

Inlet and outlet of the Interchiller at 5deg.

Testing with GPM display, IAT1 and Intercooler temperature give comprehensive results.
Our used ZR1 pump is not so good had 7gpm at first now you see between 5 and 3gpm

That’s 100 deg off IAT1, we had a sensor in air filter and one in line on intercooler hose, this is just waiting in line at a drive through.
Image

Our original design and our new Freon Distribution device make this possible.

Here is the old setup with the H/E covering the transmission cooler, half the bumper cut away and no CAI. Also with the H/E 3” away from Condenser you don’t get a good draw from the Fans. This did not work resulting in High IAT and Increased Transmission Temperatures.

Transmission Cooler Moved for air flow and Interchiller.

Hard line Competition adapter on 14 SS so only 2 AC hoses needed for Interchiller and quick installation.

We avoid blocking air flow. Everything is compact to clear GXP and GTS Bumper Cover and there big driving lights as well as clear the PS cooler hose yet leave room for coolant hose.

Hard line Competition adapter on G8 GT so only 2 AC hoses needed for Interchiller and quick installation.

Getting the cold instantly after charging the Freon.

This ZL1 customer removed a huge 2 fan H/E less than a yr old that cost close to $1000 in favor of our Competition Xtreme Chiller. He did the installation with a couple texts for support and had a shop do the AC service.
Image

The SS Bumper was replaced with new so nothing cut on car or AC lines, direct 100% bolt on. G8 GT with no H/E is 100% bolt on with our mounting bracket. If you keep H/E the Interchiller can be cut into the back of bumper and use our bypass system to bypass H/E when AC is on.

This may not look like much to you but I see 04 Silverado, CTS V, GTO, G8, SS Sedan, Camaro adapters and our Progressive Freon Distribution Fitting. We are also doing a new CNC Freon Distribution Fitting and temperature display adapter that will reduce assembly time by hours.

Our new for 17 C6 ZR1 Interchiller kit is the most complicated kit we make but every aspect of installation is covered. So many parts it is hard to capture in one picture. ZR1 has an intercooler reservoir on left side of H/E, we separate it and loop it into the refrigerated coolant just after Interchiller. Pre assembled H/E bypass uses stock GM quick connections with heat shrink clamps for a nearly factory look. Even with our dedicated ZR1 wiring harness and 1 formed aluminum line under hood it is hard to spot the Interchiller system. This kit has 4 formed intercooler hoses along with all the straight hose and we add a receiver drier since ZR1 does not come with one, 2 ZR1 kits just shipped.

The more plates and width the heat exchanger has, the less pressure loss to the fluids flowing through. While adding more plates and width may increase some heat transfer, it is best to add more length for optimal heat transfer gain. Pressure loss means a slower flowing liquid and therefore, less heat transfer overall. In our designs, we typically allow up to a 7.5 psi pressure drop, which is generally accepted as non-interfering with flow rates in a heat transfer application..

We use a 304 Stainless Steel, Copper Brazed heat exchanger which is important for the high pressures of HVAC. 40 plates 13” and 19” most low flow applications experience less than 1 psi drop as flow increases the so does the pressure loss. Note the 19” available now is double the surface area of the original 12” 30 plate we originally used for years and is just now coming off my GTO.

Our 19” is over 50% larger then our 13” and is on LSA and Heartbeat cars running 20+gpm flow with the EMP Pump and no H/E on 800+ RWHP. Originally we thought there was potential for to high of a flow but in practice we have not seen that with pumps available today this includes the intercooler. As you can see the Bosh Pump is not up to the task of today's high HP cars.

We recommend and offer the Varimax Pump direct Bosh replacement kit, which nearly doubles the flow and is a very practical solution at around $250. The Varimax is on national back order for a couple more weeks but once back in stock we offer a special price I can not post to all current and past Interchiller customers. If you order with a kit it will be in same box but if you are a former customer we will ship to your door at no additional cost. Note this is comparable or better than the ZL1 pump and the ZR1 pump GM prices around $2K. We also have the same deal on the reprogrammed EMP but they are over 2x cost of Varimax.

Now shipping our new Camaro CNC Hard line adapter. These simplify our production and simplify installation, just unbolt liquid line bolt down adapter and bolt liquid line to adapter. Still only 2 AC hoses and no Freon hoses under hood.

Image

Our new CNC Progressive Distribution Device, this is an early pull not finished but first run is approved and will be finished tomorrow. These will reduce our production time on every kit.

Here is a Heartbeat kit SS Sedan with there OTR kit. This installation was in Miami and the owner and his friends did the installation, Alex finished it. Shawn wanted to keep the H/E so this is our direct fit Heartbeat with H/E bypass kit. Looks like they followed the instructions, still needs some prestight tape. The suction hose is not where I run them and I don't leave the capillary tube hanging down, but for a first time without many questions looks good. I don't know how finished they are in these pictures someone sent me, thank you BTW. It is going to Dyno Saturday.

We provide all the necessary formed hoses so you don't need a bag of splice 90s and clamps. G8 is very similar, any questions at all I am available 7 days.

From Ron @ JANSAM MOTORSPORTS one of our Installing Dealers.

“We did 2 Interchillers this summer so far, just finished a ZR1 this morning. Just did a 10 minute drive with the chiller on. About 2 hours later, did the same drive with the chiller off (normal intercooler only). I see 45-50F difference on the data logger. Normal driving with 2 3rd gear pulls.”

We have the only ZR1 kits available since 2012 and they are the most complicated kits we make as well as a complicated installation. We actually had 2 ZR1 installations last week with positive results on both. Lou’s ZR1 is a full on build with A6 and 15” conversion, he was blown away with the results, no one cools the ZR1.

2 more G8 19” Competition Xtreme Chillers shipped and another G8 and SS Sedan ordered.
The Varimax Pump direct Bosh replacement kit, which nearly doubles the flow are in stock and shipping again.

We used this adapter from 2011 – 2016 with great results. Our new adapter is more like our other kits designed 2012 on, same results but less production time also saves a little installation time.

Man this is creative using a puller to remove stud, with our new adapter no need to remove this stud.

Thanks William for the great Pictures, these are very clear pictures for the file size!

Our 19” Competition Xtreme Chiller complete kit without H/E bypass is a great value, recommended for 800+ HP on blower and 1000+ HP turbo. Our durable 3 layer insulation, high liquid volume and Freon Distribution Device give you the 40-50deg reduction in IAT you expect with a Chiller.

JT's custom built twin 76mm turbo CTS-V showcases some ideas for a quick spooling, short run charge pipes, and reuses the stock blower housing for an air to water setup. This car spools FAST and put down some massive numbers with 30PSI on dyno!

OK this is my favorite build to date 1000+ WHP no trunk tank no H/E IATs below 100deg back to back pulls with many hours on dyno. There CNC Milled LSA blower with a large brick is the center of a very creative build supported with our 19” Interchiller. JT had our original Super Chiller from 2012 on his LSA so he just upgraded the Chiller and 2 hoses to his existing kit.

New build with our 19” Comp. Xtreme Chiller by Blue Line Performance in Indiana (Corey). These are August pictures with No H/E 3gal front tank and EMP Pump, looks like 800+ HP to me. Ran 9.9 first time to the track full weight @ LS Fest.

Another V2 19” Comp. Xtreme Chiller was fitted in Miami with similar results posted on Instigram and a V2 was fitted at our installing dealer Complete Street Performance in PA.
