Can someone explain the benefits of doing a DOD delete? I'm having my car tuned and this is an option. From my understanding a DOD delete is necessary when you add cams but I'm unaware of any other advantages.

remove potential problematic lifters, make room for high lift cam shaft, as well as other top end upgrades that result in major power gains.
Keep in mind many of our fellow G8'ers have upgraded cam and added boost to make tons of power, all while maintaining DOD and AFM.
for me it just boiled down to this---> Why??? Because RACECAR! :gears:
There are many threads with this same question, Just googled "why dod delete g8board" , approximately 15,200 results in .38s....just saying. Welcome aboard!
