Totally off the wall question here.
So this afternoon I leave the office and zoom away in my G8 to go grab some lunch and run a few errands, nothing spectacular. When I get back however I go to pull into my parking spot when I notice this black thing lying there. Not wanting to hit it I pulled into the adjacent empty spot and went and looked at what this thing was. When I got up to it, I found this:

The numbers on it are 356668 (top) and Z2286 (bottom). Doing a bit of Google searching it appears to be a battery retainer for GM vehicles. Our battery however sits in the trunk and I don't recall anything like this being back there when I was messing with my battery earlier in the spring. It was lying on the passenger side towards where the front of the vehicle would be.
I'm thinking it's probably from another vehicle who utilized the parking space while I was gone but who knows. Curious to know if anyone else has seen anything like this on our cars anywhere.
