I got to 09 G8 GT. It keeps reading misfire on cylinder 3. I have changed the coil, the wire, the plug & injector and it still says misfire 3. I pulled my valve covers and checked my rockers. everything seems to be working fine, it's pumping oil like it should but it's still reads a misfire on number 3. I'm lost with this. does anybody have any suggestions on what it could possibly be? and on top of that it's mostly when I'm at a idle and when I'm actually driving down the road the engine light goes off and when I slow down it comes back on. Don't make no sense.

Welcome to the forum. Which " the wire" was changed for cylinder three? Brand of ignition coil and spark plug used? Could have a defective fuel injector or cylinder.

AC Delco. yeah and I put a new fuel injector on it also. I thought maybe I had a defective one so I swapped it to the other side on #2 I'm going to scan it tomorrow and see what it says cuz if it's the injector it should read the misfire on #2.

If possible, post the specific check engine code(s) displayed as well

My code reader reads 300 random misfire but when I take it to AutoZone and let them read it reads 303 misfire on cylinder 3 every time. last time I had this problem I had a '97 Camaro I kept swapping my plugs out every other week putting expensive plugs in there and none of them worked I paid a man in $100 to come to my house and tell me to put AC Delco in there and believe it or not that solved my problem. I would have never believed it if I didn't do it myself. but the ones I've been running in there was ACDelco Iranium and honestly I put them in there myself 2 years ago

Installing the correct spark plugs certainly goes a long way. Is the fuel injector an AcDelco as well? By the way, the P0303 code could represent variety of issues such as spark plug, ignition coil, and an air leak. Considering such, be sure to check for intake vacuum leaks as well.

No actually it was the Bosch which is what come with the car but I'm picking up AC Delco tomorrow to make sure that's not my problem. LoL but I will definitely check for air leaks tomorrow. and I got a compression tester I'm going to use on that cylinder

AcDelco makes very few (if any) parts and are merely a reseller and repackager. They have three product lines, silver (advantage), original equipment, and professional (gold). If possible, avoid the silver line and the gold product's quality are often hit-n-miss. General Motors original equipment are the parts installed during the production of the vehicle.
