I didn't get a personalized plate per se, but I did get an upgraded "nature" plate in Kentucky. I swear I want to buy the guy who designed this a beer, because you can't friggen read it. Basically any speeder in KY has this plate.

It's a discrete personalized plate.

I really wanted PMD-1828 since there is a GXP badge already on the back but I couldn't get it.

On my GTO I had PMD-6006. Pontiac Motor Division - 6.0lt '06 model year.

Well, they allowed PMD-6006. Someone might still have PMD-1828. NC DMV has been going in order (AAB, AAC, AAD) and I'm not sure what they are going to do after they get to ZZZ-9999 b/c I have seen several cars riding around with plates that begin with X.

Maybe AAAA-001 will be next. I like the GXP plate better than the PMD, I think that's a good choice.
