So I’ve procrastinated this issue for the longest time because I’ve only been driving this car in the summer but I’m going to have to drive it in the winter this year and with that comes my need of the remote starter actually functioning properly. When I attempt to remote start it, the car does everything properly, it makes sure it’s locked, it flashes twice, cranks over and fires BUT just as it fires it shuts off immediately. It doesn’t even have the chance to get to idle, it simply fires, starts and then stops. Just to speed up the process and avoid redundancy, I did do a remote start search on the forums and didn’t find a thread with this particular issue but I’ve made sure all of the other conditions that are needed to be met in order for the remote start to work are met. I haven’t tried simulating a “closed hood latch” but I’m pretty confident that the car wouldn’t even attempt to fire up if that was the problem. Is there something simple I’m missing? Or has anyone ever had any experience with this issue or similar? Any and all help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Had same EXACT symptoms, bypassed hood latch, remote start now works.
