Airbag light keeps flashing, car hit 37000 miles and dealer won't cover it.

They say it's a problem with the gauge cluster getting intermittent signal and want $800 to replace the cluster.

**** these dealerships, just bought the **** from them last week too

Called GM corporate and they couldn't get the dealer to fix it, so they're gonna have someone contact me tomrorow to see what gm can do to "help" me.

Mine sucks, won't be getting any service or sales from me again

Not like they give a **** about that anyways

Gonna make their day miserable in exchange, I'll probably have to make a scene when I go pick up my car

I don't see the instrument cluster as the problem. It displays what the reporting modules tell it to display. You really should verify if there is a fault code stored in memory that is related to air bag condition. It would be a dtc of Bxxxxx. A good code reader will verify this code group. Other members have reported that auto parts stores will run a check of your car as a courtesy. If one or more are found, then it might become easy to figure out whats causing the problem.

Well after some calls, they've decided to work with me a little more now...gm rep I called at corporate was great...so far it's moving a little more positively

I don't know if it was because of the recall because I just bought the car, and I've only driven it for 2 days.

Not sure if previous owner or dealer did he recall or not before I got the car

They had the shop foreman go back.over my car and said they think it was a bad batch filefrom the recall, so basically the previous tech almost cost me 800 bucks worth of work that would of fixed nothing if I hadn't of.called and made a fuss over the car By calling corporate

Mine started flashing after recall. Had to argue with the tech to re-program it again. he did, and now the light is still flashing but they can't explain it or find any codes. AWESOME!
