I posted this on the "other board" but figured I might as well post here too. :driving:

Bone stock 09 gt still have paper tags 650 miles. Went to lone star motorsports park in sealy. Ran a 13.7@104 hot off the 40 mile drive there. Hot lapped for another 13.75@104. Both of these runs my 60' was 2.2. I knew if I could get the launch down I could see a 13.5 or lower. Last run I nailed the launch 2.02 60' resulted in a 13.40@106. I belive that makes me the fastest stock gt at the moment. For any naysayers I will post pic of the timeslip tommorow. Hopefully with cai and tune I can break 12's.

Almost, last year one guy from New Jersey at Atco ran 13.39 @ about 104. Just a hundreth off, but, very impressive, especally the MPH. Man thats getting it. Lets just say you have the fastest 09'. I'm impressed.

The 13.12 was with a tune.
Awww way to burst my bubble. hehe.

I weigh 175. Personally I figure someone with a base model(cloth seats vs leather i.e. lighter) with 18s will be able to run the fastest time. I just got lucky with some really nice track/weather conditions.

Nice times fiveoh, how much do you weigh (just curious)?

Hey, look at it this way, your 2mph faster then any stock g8 as of today. Your 1 hundreth of a second slower then one stock g8 and you are so far the fastest 09. Man I'd take that in a heart beat. The Atco track is usually a little faster too. No matter, those were awsome runs and the last one was really killer. Congrats.

I know, just messing with ya. I know your proud of that and we are too.

Congrats fiveoh! It is nice to hear what these cars can do stock, because so few people keep them that way for long. At least now I know that even if I have to "settle for" a GT instead of a GXP, it should be barely faster than the mildly modded Grand Prix GTP it will replace. I always tell folks that it's all about the 60 ft time. If you can get your 60 fts down to 2.0 or 1.9 in any car on street tires, you are driving VERY well, and you're gonna love your ETs!

That's a pretty quick time slip and about the fastest GT I've seen yet but what's your definition of stock? You running stock tires? Stock air-filter? Icing the intake down etc.. Talk to 15 different people and you'll get variations of what's considered stock. You have the time slip to prove it so I'm not disputing your times.

One of the guys here in MD ran 13.37 bone stock.

I won't ever know what I can run stock unfortunately.

I think I have the slowest stock 09 G8 GT. I made 5 passes on a 65 degree day. I could only manage a 2.2 60 foot and 14.0 @101. Only thing was I had a full tank of gas and the traction control was on. I am going to run it next weekend with 1/8 tank and TC off.

I would have run 5 with TC off, but I got called away. We will see next weekend. I have only three, maybe four mods in mind to get low 12s/high 11s. Intake, tune, N2O, and maybe headers if I feel the urge.

Well, I made it back to the track today with less than 1/4 tank, no TC, but a 15+ mph head wind. It went like this. 60 foot times dropped from 2.2 to 2.1, but everything else was slower. 1/4 14.18@100mph and the second run was 14.28@99.25mph. I trapped 101+ my last time out. My guess is with everything equal and no wind it could be 13.8-13.9 range. I was hoping for a little faster, but I figure after a tune it will pick up quite a bit. More to come.
