I rode in the car with him in ocmd even drove it alittle, it did it in every cruise situation regardless of gear rpm and mph. 98silverbird also rode in the car. Now that hes got the tune from the 6l80 calibrator he no longer has the issue.
Gotcha, so did you compare files to see what changed?

It was very anoying and Mike has shown very strong resistance in bitching about it. From riding in his car, and my wife actually driving his G8 if it were me I would have bitched about it as much as possible on every forum out there. When your just cruising about 50mph or faster, the Rpms just surge 500rpms up and then 500 rpms down the entire time!! my 3200 stalled Firebird never did that.. The whole 2 hr trip from NJ to OCMD with that surging would have driven me crazy. Riding in the car from Rehobath to OCMD was very anoying and I was the passenger. Between that surging and the exhaust hitting up underneath I would go crazy if it were my car..

So to sumerize with the tune from Powerhaus ( which was fine tuned 5 times) the car ran slower then it did before the parts and tune and acted like crap while driving around. Now Mike has a pretty much stock tune on the car and its faster then it was before he went to powerhaus and the drivability issues are resolved?

Seems odd watching the video, its like your intentionally lugging the engine by running at low RPM in a high gear at low MPH with cruise control enabled. I'm not sure if your just on the verge of the converter locking and the throttle input from the ECM on cruise is causing it to unlock, granted I wouldnt want my converter locking at such low speeds but that could be stock settings. I can compare it to a stock tune later.

I would try it again at a higher MPH and see if it does the same thing, run at 70MPH in the high gear and do the same log in 5th gear. That will be a better indication.

Wouldnt a tuner be able to fix this especially from a performance shop as respected as Powerhaus? They had 5 tries and it still did it. So I guess your not suppose to cruise at low RPMS anymore correct? Think that Powerhaus was leaning towards a defective circle D converter as well.. Funny how a stockish tune fixed it..

I'm not sure why you're giving me a hard time. Please look at the files that I have provided for your viewing pleasure.

Yes... I am intentionally showing all of you that the tune was doing some funky things.

It also did those things at highway speeds with steady throttle, cruise control, and even worse while decelerating. I wish I could have datalogged and had copies of the first couple tunes because they where worse.

I haven't even touched on track conditions. Shifts where super laggy. And I was unable to tap down and hold 3rd gear through the traps. It would upshift to 4th no matter what. The 3-4 shift was so laggy I might as well have gone through the traps in neutral. Now I have a base tune with minor settings for an aftermarket converter and ALL of these conditions have gone away.

I feel you man.. Your car is gonna fly once it gets a real tune on it! Bet you will be in the 12.4 range @ 113mph with a GOOD tune. Sucks that its has taken so long and cost so much money. I hope that the Powerhaus tune did not damage anything perminatly..

Well if the issue went away when the powerhaus tune was taken out its kind of obvious it was a tune issue if the parts were bad it would still be having an issue with the new tune which it is not. Only thing changed is the tune from the calibrator and not powerhaus the tune was the issue.

I have no problem with the guys at powerhaus. They recently tuned my friends 06 Jeep SRT8 and did a great job. Roshan's tune feels dead on and shifts smoothly. Negative publicity is typically outweighed greatly by the number of satisfied people who don't post up their experiences. Just my opinion..

Possibly... or he aleviated the problem without actually fixing it. If the converter does have a problem locking up (which a bad batch of converters did get shipped out from Circle-D, they are replacing those they find under warranty) and the guy that "fixed it" just stopped having the converter lockup in the tune then you really didnt fix the problem. He just made it not obvious to you. If you post up that tune as well it will be obvious what happened.

I told you I wouldnt be able to look at the tune until later... not giving you a hard time just asking for more info.

Completely agree... Plus the coowner provided a little different story with more details in the last thread, but of course they are left out here. So there are a couple unsatisfied cutomers, thats always the case in any business, doesnt mean the other 1,000 customers arent happy and other people shouldnt go there. I wasnt satisfied with Livernois tune but lots of people are... $hit happens, I bitched about it here too but at the end of the day that accompished nothing. Roshan fixed it and we all moved on.

The converter does what it is supposed to do now. Chris at Circle-D has been more than helpful in troubleshooting. Thanks Chris.

I bought a GXP that had work by a different 'Powerhouse' in Cicero NY, and you would be asstonished to find all the things worng with it. 2 Motor mounts missing nuts, 1 spark plug wire not seated, causing missing, and a PCM Tune by Speartech (PCM had been locked, but we got it unlocked) that looked to be a stock tune with a raised Idle to 900 RPM. There are other things, but it's disheartening to think about how many crappy shops are out there.

Here is what I have figured out. Person A is good and knows his ****, he gets busy, opens shop, does well. Person A hires person B, shop gets busier, shop hires person C. Person B & C are nothing special, it was Person A that was bad ass, but he's not working on your car...your car comes out like crap.

May you have better luck...

I hear ya. I'm not sure what happened. They where cool guys. They have done some bad a$$ cars. Roshan tuned mine the last time at RPM and I loved it. Everything they touched was messed up. I love this car and don't want to drive it anymore.

Why dont you want to drive it? I thought it drove fine and was faster now with the stock tune?

I compared the file you posted to about 5 of Roshans previous tunes on different cars... have to call it like I see it, that doesn't look like Roshans tuning at all.

It drives better than with Roshan's garbage tune by far. However it is a base tune and still needs work. The tuner I'm going to is really busy. After all the money I've spent at Powerhaus then all the money I've spent to have it done right...I don't want to look at the car anymore.

It's Roshan's tune. His 5th attempt at tuning my car. Here is a video of my car being tuned at powerhaus from the powerhaus youtube channel. You can see the botched exhaust job in the video.

It sucks not loving your can anymore because a shop ****ed up everything about it. Thats what happened to my friend with the T/A that got tuned there on N20. The tune sucked and it made it not fun anymore. Now he is in the market for another car. To gain only 3MPH from all motor to a 125 shot is just stupid. Now he has a damaged Tranny and he doesnt even want to deal with the car anymore because of how it runs after the tune.

It is.. I saw the tune off my friends T/a from Roshan and that guys Colbolt SS and its just as crappy on their cars as well. I will see if they can register to post it up here as well.

It does accomplish things. Letting people know what happens is important. Mike gave Roshan 5 trys to get the tune right and it was still ****ed up!

We are here EVERYDAY from 9am-6pm. Often times way past 6pm...We are also here just about every Saturday. The only time we have been closed was for OCMD and it was posted. Also, I check the call log daily and have no calls from Mike! Incredible. No messages from him either! We sent him an email a few days ago to let him know that his wheels were done being powdercoated but still haven't heard back from him! Often times we would get 6-7 email responses from him a day but now he won't respond to any emails about coming to get his wheels?? Instead, we are being blamed for poor communication.

Again, I offered you a refund on your tune if you were unhappy with it. Instead, I was accused of not being confident in our work. Why didn't you come in for your refund? What gives?

Also, you KNEW about your strut bearings being bad. YOU TOLD US YOU TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR WARRANTY WORK BUT THEY DID NOT WANT TO HELP YOU. Why didn't you ask us to replace them????? Again, this is just being used to discredit our shop.

We have modified and tuned many cars since opening and you are the ONLY customer that has complained about all these issues we created. I find that overly odd. 1998silverbird has had some kinda of personal vendetta with us since day one. I don't know what his problem is. He has actually made up things that were completely untrue like the time he said a certain blue z06 had a huge dip in power after we tuned it. Newsflash, it had the huge dips when we baselined it! We also have never met him or dealt with him in person so I'm having a hard time trying to understand why he is talking **** about Powerhaus every chance he gets!

We are just clearing the air with what your acquaintance is saying to bad mouth our shop when he has not had any first hand experience with us.
And as for reference you did bad mouth us publicly on facebook, which is your opinion you are entitled to. But Jeff was using your vehicle as a direct complaint against us that is the only reason your situation was brought up.

As for the 23* set across the timing table, I am not sure at what you were looking at because this is your timing table in the car when it left our shop. And we did pull extra timing in case you wanted to up the shot.

well from here on out Im out of this. I do not know whats going on or why jeff is shooting his mouth off. I knew you and mike were trying really hard to figure out what was going on and jeff made it increasingly difficult. That timing table is nothing like what I saw when we pulled up the tune, so i dont know what had happened. Bottom line, Im out of this any future posts or anything that goes on Im not involved in, Ive told jeff to let it go several times already. I wish you guys the best."

Who is pulling the tunes from these cars? Is it the same person? Sounds like a possible conspiracy to me considering Roshan sent a screen shot of Kevin's car and it was nothing like what Kevin said he pulled from the car. Also, MGM GT has seen Roshans tunes in multiple cars and notes that the Red G8's tune is completely uncharacteristic of all the tunes he has seen. There has been DOZENS and DOZENS of happy G8 customers with custom tunes by Powerhaus. Hmmm...

I do not know why youre quoting me as 01slpss....i don't drive a Camaro.. That timing table you sent me was far from what was on my car. My car ran like **** on and off the spray. Idk how you can say there isn't something wrong when i only picked up 3mph on a 100 shot even AFTER i switched to a taller tire. My motor tune from rohan at rpm was excellent. Idk what changed. As for who this tuner who is pulling our tunes, he does not want to be involved. However he is extremely reputable and has many cars running incredible times. As for mike being the only unhappy customer you're clearly not paying attention because you have several. Maybe it's becausewe were the only ones to question your flawless tunes.. Or maybe since our cars are "rats nest" and in "poor condition" and according to you guys we're awful drivers who are "unsuitable to own performance cars" you guys really didn't care about us as much as your porches and lambos..i guess money talks even though mike spent a ton.

My mistake. I thought it was you. Also, it was put together poorly when it was brought in for a tune. Remember the nitrous and fuel spraying from your engine bay mid pull? Its tough to tune a car in that condition. As for "only" picking up a certain mph or knocking off time on your E.T., 1/4 mile racing is difficult especially in a stick car with minimal seat time! Bouncing off the rev limiter going down the track will not improve your times. Practice will get you where you need to be.

Our customer with a stock motor/stock headers c5 z06 with a 125 shot was able to go 10.6 at 130 mph on our tune. He has had a lot of seat time and is a good driver. With some more practice your times will improve as well!
