Im 44k+ and the only item that needed attention was the drivers side front brake caliper bracket, which was replaced under warranty.

I'm going to drive the wheels off this car, then buy another set of wheels :)

I have 21K on mine and have not had a single problem. It still feels as tight as the day I bought it. A lady stopped my wife in the grocery parking lot the other day and went on and on about how she wished she had one. And she was driving a GTO! In my mind, this car is better looking than the Mustangs, Camaros & Challengers. This car is definitely a keeper.

I see a lot of G8's on the road in my area, so there must be fewer of them in other parts of the country compared to the Chicago area.

I disagree on that, those cars have a classic style to them that the G8 can't come close to....

There's only 30000 G8s in a world of over 600 million cars. That's .005 percent of all the cars in the world. In Australia where this car was made they love to take their Holden Commodores and make them look like G8s.

I've had trouble with my car but even still I'm pretty attached. I'm thinking some of those problems are attributable to the mechanic. But as with anything mechanical unless it's crumpled up like a beer can it can be fixed. I'm thinking it would be a fantasy to go to one of the big Holden meets in Australia driving that car.

I say keep it too. I love the 'rarity' of the car. I came from a C6 and I LOVED that car, but I see more of them on the road than I do G8s. Kinda nice.

I had a nightmare the other night that someone totaled my G8 and I had to replace it with some other car because Pontiac doesnt make them anymore. So glad it was just a dream. There is no other car currently available that I would be happy with compared to my G8 (not including cars that are like $50k+ obviously).

If you dislike the original style, one may dislike the new version as much or more......:) (I like the old and new style of all three)
I like the old and new style of those cars too. At least they don't have people mistaking those cars for a BMW or a G6! :(

Got to much money wrapped up in mine to ever get rid of it!!

Man that's worse than dreaming about the Exorcist when I was 12 years old!

I have had mine for about 10 months now, and I still find myself looking back at it when I am walking away from it. Sweet, sweet car.

I looked at quite a few cars before I settled on the G8. What prompted me to buy the GT was what would happen if I didn't buy it. Every time I saw one, I would have kicked myself in the *ss.

Same. Just a good-lookin' car!

Car that might replace it might be a 2010 4 Runner or a new Yukon. I live in the northeast and storing the G8 is a expense that seems hard to justify when it sits next to a Gt 500 all winter.

Is putting snow tires on the g8 worth destroying a nice g8?

I see you’re looking in entirely new market. I had a 4runner back in the day, drove that thing past 100K miles… great vehicle. I live in southern Arizona, so I can’t comment on the snow tires.

i've owned brand new cars from ford, gm, chrysler, nissan, toyota, vw and every single one of them had at least one manufacturer defect. i'd never give up my awesome and gorgeous g8 over such a small issue. i love the rubber necking onlookers i see every time i drive it.

^ Well put. mine is here for the long haul. Now something else might join it later.....
