Tein vs Eibach - Which has a more comfortable ride?

I've seen a lot of info on these springs, but does anyone have the spring rates? Take handling ability out of the equation completely, which will have a more comfortable ride with road imperfections and bumps.

Just considering. Wouldn't mind a small drop, but I've had mostly bad luck with drop springs.

Having rode in both, I feel that damper and bushing choices will matter more. I run Tein+FE3, but also poly strut mounts. The Eibach+FE2 setup I rode in, with rubber bushings all around, was slightly softer (as expected). Although firmer, the FE3 gave it better Tein the better ride quality and I'm sure it would do the same for the Eibach too. specs here: http://www.tein.com/tech_info/j28.html

Everyone has a different ability to stomach a firmer ride. To me either Tein or Eibach keep it acceptable and are the max I would personally go: my other car, the '91 Civic Wagon, has coilovers that will break your back.

Ive rode in both. I honestly feel my Tiens ride a tad tighter than eibachs. Then again, the eibach g8 I worked on was also on fe2 shocks.

Ive ridden in a G8 with the Tein and FE3 combo. Little stiff and bouncy was my thought. I have FE3 and Eibachs and love the ride. Not bouncy at all and the stance is perfect. The H&R setup with FE3 I rode in was very stiff for my taste also. Seemed to have the pogo effect. The Eibach and FE3 combo is gonna be your best bet for ride quality and a slight drop. Konis are awesome ride but hard to get a hold of lately.

I've heard the Eibach springs are proggressive, but I'm not sure about the Teins. Both increase the handling enough where I don't care which handles better, I just want the better riding of the two.

I was leaning towards Eibach with a small .25" spring spacer in the back to make up for the increased rear drop. Or because of the weight of my blower, maybe do .125" spacer up front and .375" spacer in the back, they're not tough to make and I don't want a slammed car, just a little lower.

Tein springs are progressive.

I have to say, I've had Eibach's for years and they have treated me great, but my set I have on now is sagging more. Last year (same roads, etc.) I didn't bottom out nearly as much as I do now (shocks are a big part) but it still sits very low compared to last year.
I think I'm gonna get the Tein's and the Koni yellows.

I have the Tein and FE3 setup. I think the ride is great especially on the highway. I also have full poly bushings. I can't speak for the Eibach's.

Oh yea, duh! I should have known to do that.:slap:

I swear my drivers side sits lower (measuring with my fingers) and rubs 2-3 times more than last year. When I get the time, I'll have to check them.

I think I'll go Eibach/FE3 with rubber strut mounts. I'll just make a small spacer for the rear to keep that little bit of rake.

So the calipers are colour matched to the springs, 2Steps?

I had the calipers done about 3 years ago in a metallic green, looks like synergy green...just happened that I switch up susp setups like underwear and settled on the teins now lol.
