We are looking for a G8 with water to air intercooler for first G8 Kit. We use AC to refrigerate the intercooler water to lower IATs with great success.
We also convert air to air to water to air which is much more efficient.
We also add a water to air Intercooler after the ATA with this setup for Turbo.

Any one interested we are in St. Pete. Fl and have customers from all over the states get there car here for this upgrade. First CTS V car is on lift now this is an 11.3 second car on street tires soon to get into the 10s. Customer had it trucked from New Jersey just for this upgrade then he is flying in to pick it up.

Thanks I want to get a volunteer without breaking sponsor rules so Im not posting links or names. When I get a G8 Kit Sponsorship would be within budget. I suggest Google I have a lot of info and pics out there. Most of my pics have my company name on them, there is a former asociat claming my product as his and saying he has hundreds shipped (all in his mind). So I cant post much without my name already on it.

This XLR V has one of my custom tanks and the upgrade. The tank has a blue cap on it. Tank gets Ice cold so that’s why it is insulated. This nearly gallon of additional water around 40deg makes a huge difference. Even after you turn AC off everyting is so cold it takes minutes for water to heat up. This is what allows the upgrade to work racing. You stage with AC on in competition mode (Cabin cooling is off so no condensation on track) Then computer turns off AC when you go wide open. By the end of 1/4mi water has not begun to heat up. IAT is as low as posable then when you hot lap there is no heat soak.

G8 volunteer still needed!
I have opening in Aug to design a G8 Kit. I have a potential customer who wants to include this kit in his G8 Magazine Feature coming up but he is to far away to send me his car. I know some of you are close enough to drive here and rent a car to drive. The savings would more than cover car rental. You won’t regret the upgrade; I have made big improvements of late. Maggie and CTS V / ZR1 customers report mid 40 deg ICWT average. KB run a little hotter, I have a Whipple kit shipping to Canada now for Camaro. Here is a Quote from a LS3 Eforce Customer that has been a customer over a year.
“ It was 93* today and my my IAT was 61*.Have a good holiday ”
Thanks Dave

Lower IAT for More Timing, More HP, More MPG, High IAT is huge factor on any performance car. That’s why they sell CAI. I’m sure everyone has felt the difference in performance on a cold day vs. hot day.

Boosted applications are known for high IAT. This is the single most effective means to lower IAT. We guarantee to take 50deg off any ICWT and have never had a problem doing that on any car/truck.
The quote above of 61deg IAT on a 93deg day on a stock lS3 Eforce is probably 30HP+. There is huge potential for increased hp on high HP cars from not pulling timing and a colder mixture.

To answer your question this is a great advantage for street and competition as long as you use AC. For race cars without AC we offer a stand alone 12V system as well.

Does a car need to be boosted for something like this or would this apply for NA as well?
0 trade off, you can and do use AC at same time except in competition mode. If an authorized installer does the install we can increase cabin AC performance during install. Comp mode turns off cabin AC so no water leaks on track.

This theory does apply to NA cars but we have not had time to get to that. Cost would probably out weigh gains on a NA car for most since you would have to add the entire water system that is already in place on WTA intercoolers.

cooling down the IATs of a NA car helps, sure. but the amount of heatsoak/timing pulled is less, and so is the amount of power to be gained.

also the only real way to make this work NA would be to run an intercooler or some type of special intake manifold too cool the air, and thats probably way more work then its worth, and may even result in no gain.

Here is AC diagram the circled areas are critical interest to me. The red Condenser connection looks like the CTS V adapter may be a direct fit. That would save a lot of time.

The Blue return/suction connection and line running to fire wall would probably be where I would make return. Any one that could provide close up pictures of these would be big help.

From diagram it looks like Compressor is on drivers side, that's unusual?

Our compressor is on the passenger side.

There used to be a kit for SyTy's that's how old this idea is.
For whatever reason, I think cost, it has never taken off.

As far as I know we were first to use Diverter Valve to bypass Heat Exchanger when AC is on and to offer Competition Mode back in 09 when GTO prototype came out.
Also first to use custom bent aluminum lines as well as no cutting of AC hoses to cut in splices. As well as no cutting body and very few if any holes drilled in body.

But yes this is an old idea, not as original as I first thought. The performance is a given but the quality is in the execution.

We still need a G8 come on I know there are local super charged or turbo G8s. I just scheduled first Whipple Camaro for this product installation the 28th. That will be another tailor made kit available and I have deposits from other Whipple customers waiting. I refuse to sell a 1 size fits all or compromise quality to simplify things.

sounds cool

very interested once you have a proven product for the masses.

i live in ft myers area and would consider volenteering, but would want you to discuss what you are doing with my current speed shop @torq that is finishing my car now. please pm me if you are willing to talk with me/them to get their thoughts and impact on my cars mods. Im cammed and charged! 485rwhp with 175 iat and 103 shop dyno temp.

Bump For First G8!

We just added Hummer H2 and first gen CTS V to covered models.
Here is a pic of the CTS V1 Competition High Side Adapter. We had to move the AC pressure switch to this fitting to keep the Competition Solenoid hidden.

Here is a pic of the first SS I did well over a yr ago! That’s Intercooler Water Temp going into Super Charger!

I had one of the original A/C chilled Water/Air units back on my Typhoon in 1997. I can tell you my truck felt absolutely night-and-day different with that unit installed. I'm 2 hours from St. Pete, but my G8 isn't boosted, and my Turbo Lightning is Air/Air, so I don't fit the qualifications :D. I hope someone will take him up on this. There's a ton of power to be made with cold charge temps.

Yes with all the inquires I’m surprised no G8 has stepped up. I have plenty of endorsements from other installs. Here is just one of my SS customers.

Went to Bristol last weekend for the Super Chevy Show. Bristol is traditionally a slow track (Hot, humid & slick). I ran the street class on Saturday (30 mile cruise and 3 back to back hot passes, temp was mid 80's.). I won my index with a three pass average of 12.021. All three passes were within .044 of each other. Every launch my I/C water temps. were right at 40 degrees. There is no way I could have been so consistent with out the Super Chiller!
I have my first ZL1 coming in the 16th from Ohio, my existing mounting wont clear the ZL1 Bumper Cover. Once completed that will be 5 different Camaro kits alone. We make every kit Model and Blower specific. No cut and splice universal c**p here.

ECmoney didn’t reply to my calls or PMs,
Here is another endorsement from a XLR V I did. XLR V is based on a C6 but has 4.4 North Star factory Super Charged. This one has blower completely reworked to spin insane fast to make 30lb boost but ran so hot it couldn’t make much power, IATs 200+! This customer drove from St Louis to Fl and flew home then flew back and drove home just for this upgrade.

Yeah mine's still going strong with 2 Land Speed Records to my credit. I just found out last month that my "magic number" was 122* IAT2 and the xxxxxxx keeps it under 120* for my full LSR run. So that 5* of timing I was losing above 122* went away!

Thanks Dave, OBTW, the Team Elwood logo has changed again:
