Hi. I don't visit here very often. As for my swap, I drive the car daily. But I have not addressed all the bugs yet. My mechanic at work (city hall) had a handheld code reader device of some sort and he was able to relearn the brakes. He could not solve the problem with the airbags or traction control, so I still get those CELs. Honestly, I haven't really tried to deal with that yet because those things aren't priorities for me right now. But I will, in time. I will tell you the car rocks! It is no longer a nice four door family car with a loud exhaust. It is now a full on muscle car and if you can't drive the clutch smoothly it will buck, spit, smoke the tires, etc. Yes, it is fun. WAY more fun than the auto could ever approach. It makes my drive to work a little more effort due to the shifting but man is it fun! And it is really tough to stop at an intersection and make the right turn without smoking the tires, especially if you are trying to beat traffic.

So I don't know if any of you guys have seen my threads but currently I'm still having significant issues with tuning for the swap.

RPM's won't go above 5770 and the ECU thinks I'm going 158mph at all times even though I get a good speedometer reading from my ABS.

I have the transmission VSS wired to the manual OSS sensors on the stock ECU that I just had to add pins for. No difference before or after that.

I also haven't been able to figure out how to get the reverse lights to work even though I tried tying into the wiring from them to the transmission.

I have the same problem with reverse lights. Don't work. In my case I bought the factory manual trans engine harness. Everything plugged in and looks correct. I still haven't tried to troubleshoot my issues I listed above. Just been lazy with other stuff on my schedule and no time for this. My redline is currently at 4,500 rpms where it will cut out. I think my pressure sensor cel is due to batteries going bad since these are still the original factory sensors. I will replace all of them with the next tire change. My next project is lower control arms since my front tires are wearing on the inside bad. Car still rocks and kicks ass.

I just looked at your post in the other thread. I basically installed all new GXP parts. Factory new TR6060 trans, factory new harness, drive shaft, etc., etc. So my issues may be different than yours. I suspect most of my problems might go away if I take it to the dealer and relearn the airbags, brakes, ABS, etc.

So I've actually been to the dealer for all the relearns already.

AFAIK the transmission shouldn't need to be connected electronically at all to still work fine so tr6060 vs t56 shouldn't make a difference on that end... shouldn't ?‍♂??.

Also, you're thinking your tire pressure sensors are causing you're redline to cut short? Any idea why that would be? I don't have any CEL except when I start the car it says traction control isn't working ?‍♂

No. I'm thinking one or more tire pressure sensors have dead batteries and that's why my cel is on for the pressure sensor. I'm thinking the brake relearn may be affecting my redline. So did you go to a dealer to do the brake relearns? What exactly did they do? What do I need to ask them to do? Did they need to access any Holden files?

The other problem I have is my car will start in gear without pressing the clutch. I have the wire connected for the clutch pedal under the dash. So I don't know why that is happening...

"deb0650' They show that the manual gearbox (as installed in the GXP's), uses a clutch pedal switch containing 3 wires. In your post you use the words "I have the wire connected for the clutch pedal under the dash". If that means one wire only, maybe the ECM is unable to understand whats going on. Those 3 wires go to dedicated pins in one of the ECM's connectors. If you have all 3 wires in there an wired up correctly, maybe the switch itself has a problem (an is unable to send back the required voltage) to tell the ECM whether it is being depressed or not.

So I'm not exactly sure if/what the difference is between the clutch interlock wiring and the wiring that literally has the same lever connector attached to the clutch pedal itself as the brake pedal does.

In any case the one that connects directly to the clutch pedal I forget how many wires it has but you can't really do less or more wires unless ones cut or something

Hi. Thanks for the info about the VE tunes. Regarding my clutch, I have the factory GXP M6 connector. I don't recall how many wires. It is all the stock factory GXP stuff. As I said a couple times, mechanically the trans swap is perfect. The issues I have are tune related. None of it affects my ability to drive the car. I just bought a 2015 C7 Z51 M7 over the weekend so my attention is elsewhere for the moment. :)

May want to check out a Caprice forum(s).
