Is there any way to just get the bumper on the HSV GTS conversion and if so would it look ok?

Of course you can. It won't fit with the G8 hood though.

I'm feeling that e2 body kit. I would love to get this but that price is out of this world.

Does anyone know of anybody that's done a FULL conversion to a GTS, including tail lights? I'm trying to figure out what all I would need to make it work.

How bad an idea might this be?

Universal fender flares that you can "graft" onto your car. A good shop should be able to do this, paint your rear quarters and incorporate them into your existing bodywork? Then you can fit whatever wheel/tire combo you want....Someone will eventually do this I guess...
