Even with "quality" work.... your trans can still go.... mine did...

 

im looking more for a total custom tune not just a handheld or canned tune. Like a dyno shop that can really make it sing but can make it live a good long life.

 

Corvettes of Westchester hands down. Chucks trans tune are awesome. The Corvette guys love his A6 Attack Tune and my G8 feels great.

 

My trans tune is spot on. If you want I can email the file to your tuner. Alot of people are great with motor tuning but the 6l80 is a bit tougher to tune.

 

Hi Daniel, What tune do you use? E.G. HPT or something different. Or do you just have specs that anyone can use?

My tuner uses HPT and had a heck of a time getting the tranny to shift fast enough, he is pretty new but has done a good job. I have 400 RWHP, 345 gears and a 3600 stall so it hit 7grand fast in first and second. I think he has shift points set at 4500 rpm or so and it shifts at 7k.

Any help would be great if you are willing to share.

well im shopping around for a good tuner at the moment. Fast Motorsports in Chicago anyone have experience with them. They seemed like really nice guys that take their time with each customer which is nice.

 

Brandon is great. I had the lifter tick issue which caused problems during the 1st attempt to tune. After that was fixed, we were still having power loss at the top-end, and brandon went so far as to change the spark plugs, and swap out the coil-packs from a TBSS in the shop, to diagnose the issue. After 3 days and about 20 pulls and many hours of diagnostics, he got it sorted out. Couldn't be happier with the tune, and the best thing is, he only charged me for the tune, and the plugs.

Hey thanks Daniel! I'm going to compare yours to mine at some point. OBSSD retuned my tranny a while back and it made an amazing difference over my previous tranny tune.
